Weekly Newsletter for the week of Jan. 12th - Jan. 16th We had a wonderful first week back to school after the break.  Students and teachers were excited to have weather that allowed them to have some fun time outside!  As we head into this 2nd semester, every day will be a push to help students gain knowledge and develop skills/strategies to become strong problem solvers who can tackle any task!   Please take a few minutes to complete our Parent Title I Survey.  This helps us as a school to know where we are doing well and helps us identify areas where we can grow as a school community.   Parent Title I Survey Link

Student Behavior and Respect We've noticed an increase in behavior issues this year. Please take a moment to talk with your children about the importance of being kind to others and listening to and following instructions. When students are respectful and focused, they can fully engage with their teachers and classmates, which is essential for their academic and personal growth. Student Attendance We are also seeing more student absences than in previous years. Every day, our teachers provide crucial instruction from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. When a student is late, leaves early, or misses a full day, they miss valuable instruction that is difficult to make up. Please help us by scheduling appointments and other activities for after school whenever possible. We are so grateful for your continued support and commitment to your child's education. Working together, we can ensure BonDeCroft remains a positive and productive learning environment for everyone.     Lost and Found We are already seeing lots of items misplaced throughout the day by our students.  Please write your child's name on/in their personal items (water bottles, lunch boxes, backpacks, hoodies, jackets, etc.)!  This will help us get the items back to the right person when we find them.   School News Student of the Week Mrs. Denn - Zoey Ashley Mrs. Denn says "Zoey is helpful to everyone in our class! This is my first year at BonDeCroft, and Zoey has been quick to answer all of my questions and help me figure out routines. She does the same for her classmates. She gives 100% on all of her assignments and reflects on the mistakes she makes. I wish everyone had as positive of an attitude as Zoey has! I'm so thankful that she is in my class this year."   Our Commitment to Positive Behavior Lion's Pledge We are Lions!  We have GRIT! We show GRATITUDE for what we have. Attendance Matters Excuse Notes Please remember to send in a note from the doctor or a parent note when your child is absent. Each child get 5 parent notes each year. Remember, your child can't learn the material if they are not in school. Please help us by scheduling appointments after school or during breaks. Attendance really does matter. Jan. Attendance Challenge January perfect attendance challenge is underway.  Students who do not miss a day in January will receive a special treat at the end of the month.  Encourage and support your child to have perfect attendance this month.  Try to schedule appointments after school or on breaks!   Attendance Procedures Please make sure you send in a parent note or doctors note with your child when they return after an absence.  You can send in a parent note for 5 days worth of absences.  Any absence other than those must have a doctor or dentist note to be excused.  Please remember, this is more about ensuring students are at school to receive the daily instruction from the teacher.  Students can make up missing assignments, but they cannot get back the instruction the teacher provided that day.  Also, leaving school early is considered a tardy, as well is coming in late.  Instruction begins at 8:00am each day and does not end until 3:00pm.  Please help us by limiting the time students miss from the classroom.  We appreciate your support with this!   Lunch Menu
